Some Year 5's Visited Ponsonby Intermediate!

Some of our Year 5's were very lucky to visit Ponsonby Intermediate to learn how to make our very own computer games!

The Junior Coding Club are excited to play these games with the Year 5's and to learn about the different codes they used to make them.

We are very grateful to Mr Wilson and Mr Boxen for letting us explore this new technology with them. We can't wait to bring it back to school to show our classmates.

Week 5 Coding Club

This week in our coding club we learnt how to programme a character to do two actions at once. They are programmed to move left and right, while also moving up and down.
Donnabelle used a bat and a diver.

Welcome to 2016

This year Papatoetoe North School is offering their Year 2 and 3 students a new lunchtime club, a Junior Coding Club. Coding at this level uses a computer programme called Scratch Jr to engage students in the programming of characters. They lay the instructions, movements and actions of a character to complete a task or to tell as story.

We are excited to show you what we learn throughout the year and the exciting things that we create.

Feel free to leave comments or ask us questions throughout the year.
